An application for late hours licensed premises at 61A Western Road, the yard between Aumthong and Grubbs, has been withdrawn following numerous objections, including one from FOPA. Brighton Bar Rooms had applied for alcohol sales to 2am during the week and 3am on fridays and saturdays. This gave rise to concerns about late night noise and anti-social behaviour. These premises are within the recently extended Cumulative Impact Area which now reaches from the city centre to Holland Road, and aims to control expansion of licensed premises.
