Becoming the victim of a scam is a terrible thing, and we are all vulnerable to the many scams and cons out there. Every year, the British public loses billions of pounds to fraudsters who bombard us with online, mail, door to door and telephone scams.
Prevention through awareness, is therefore a vital tool in combating scammers.
This coming Sunday 17th of December, the Sussex Police are holding a stall at the Hove Museum Christmas Fair organised by PAG. Visit their stall and speak to young Police cadets who will be onsite to give you up to date advice about crime prevention, and to provide guidance on how you can protect yourself from scams and fraudsters. They will answer all your questions and provide you with reading material to help you understand the ins and outs of staying safe from fraud.
