Recycle your Christmas tree

Real Christmas trees are totally recyclable. As Christmas comes to a close and we take all our decorations down please don’t forget to dispose of your tree responsibly. There are many ways your real Christmas tree can be recycled and reused.

Our local recycling points are;

  • Hove Lawns – opposite Adelaide Crescent
  • Hove Lawns – opposite Third Avenue

NB: Adelaide Crescent is NOT a recycling point this year.

The great news is that every real tree is turned into soil improver or compost and used in local parks or green spaces.

Recycling points in the city: Full list of recycle points are available at https://www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/rubbish-recycling-and-streets/recycling/recycle-your-christmas-tree-0 .

Christmas tree recycling points will be open from Wednesday 27 December 2023 until Monday 22 January 2024.

Do not leave trees on the pavement, road or beside a communal bin. This is fly-tipping and you could be fined.

Also please note Adelaide Crescent is not a recycling point this year.
