SGN have provided an update on the gas works along Church Road;
Our Church Road project is progressing extremely well. We have already completed three of our five phases. This means we’re able to begin the section of our work in Church Road west of Hove Town Hall today, ahead of schedule. Temporary traffic lights are now in place on Church Road to keep everyone safe around our site.
We also now hope to complete our final phase – the slip road closure – before Christmas. From Monday 11 December, we’ll temporarily close the slip road from Church Road to Holland Road. We are aiming to finish this phase and complete our Church Road project by Friday 22 December, when we were due to suspend work for the festive period. To do this, we’ll be working extended hours and at the weekend during this phase. All being well, we won’t need to return to Church Road in the new year.
