Brunswick Town has lobbied for an extension of the central Cumulative Impact Area, within which new licenses for the sale of alcohol are restricted. The call has been for a westwards extension along Western Road, to deal with the problems of alcohol fuelled anti-social behaviour as part of the burgeoning night time economy, particularly at weekends. Local groups will be attending the Council Meeting on 15th December as a deputation from this area to further lobby for ratification of the Cabinet Meeting agreement that this extension should go ahead as far as Holland Road.
